Case study · Proposal · Hong Kong

A club that changes hands every year,a site any committee can run.

A proposed website for a university sports club in Hong Kong, built to show the club what their site could be. We have left out the club’s name and blurred the screenshot until the club agrees to be named. The match record on the site is placeholder data.

The proposed club website's header, blurred to keep the club anonymous

The problem

Student clubs hand over to a new committee every year. A website built by one committee tends to go stale once its members graduate, because the people after them do not know how to change it.

What we built

A homepage designed like a printed university record: a centred masthead, results laid out as an archive table, and the latest result shown as a scoreline. Every colour is worked out from the club crest rather than picked by eye.

Pages are generated ahead of time, so the site is fast and costs very little to host. Each change gets its own preview link before it goes live.

What comes next

An admin panel, so the committee can add results, fixtures and news from a form. No code, and nothing to hand over each year except a login.
